Questions on Turbocharging '03
I need some advice on adding a turbo because the first thing i want is a moderate boost in power and the LAST thing i want is to blow my motor. I would like to know what pound of pressure is considered safe enough to run everyday without the threat of blowing my engine? I'm sure alot of you have had a TON of experience in this. I just need as much information as possible before i decide to do this. I am thinking or at least ive been schooled somewhat in the idea that adding an intercooled turbo with about 8lbs of boost would add the power i want without compromising seals or other internals.
id also like to know what turbo people are using on this car with the most success and exactly what other mods should be done to safeguard. Ideally I dont want to have to make any other engine modifications becuase I dont want to get nuts.
im not sure if this is a pipe dream of mine that i can turbocharge and throw away any worryment of going to the dealer with my tail between my legs and say "can you fix this... is it still under warranty.... maybe... maybe????? im expecting that once i turbo that my warranty will be voided which is why im so concerned about damage... INPUT PLEASE... tell me your experience and products and advise ... all posts are greatly appreciated!!
