Thursday 9/11/03. Several moments of silence for those lost 2 years ago.

It was about 60*F when I drove in this morning, I've been able to drive to/from work top-down just about every day for the past two weeks. I'm eagerly anticipating doing this during winter and freaking out other drivers.

Another gorgeous day here in the Windy City, tomorrow is supposed to be the same, with rain moving in late in the evening. Saturday should be crappy, but hopefully Sunday will be nice, if the weather fakers are right for once.

I finally got my Zaino order yesterday, along with the Fumoto valve from Rick's. It was almost like Christmas. Oil change is coming in about 1000 miles or so, and hopefully next weekend will allow me to wash and wax the S. I ordered the front license plugs from HandA and they should be in this week also; no more front plate then. One of my co-workers has a C4 vette and he's had no front place for three years now without being stopped, and I've seen a fair number of other cars without it also. I went for 5 years without a front plate on my RX-7 and was never stopped, so I think I'm going to chance it and see how it goes.

Well I got mine used when there weren't many around, so Silverstone it was. But I do love the color 'cause it doesn't show dirt!! Or bugs...

Silver is too European for this car. Silver looks great on Bimmers. My ranking:

1) Spa Yellow (what else?)
2) Berlina Black (must be kept clean)
3) Formula Red
4) GP White
5) Silverstone
6) Sebring Silver
7) Suzuka Blue

But like I said, whatever you like is all that matters.
LOL and that's why there's chocolate and vanilla (and all the other flavors)

I actually like all of the colors on the S, but my top ranks would be Spa Yellow as #1 and Silverstone as #2, with GP White and Suzuka Blue at the bottom. Jest mah 'pinion, ya unnerstand.

I'm not too crazy about Monte Carlo Blue, but I'd dearly love to see Imola Orange in person; that color intrigues me for some reason.

Lime green, passion purple, and similar colors are too extreme for my taste. We saw a Z4 in a solid olive green with a tan interior the other day and it actually didn't look bad, the color complemented the look of the car. I don't think I'd want an S in that color though.

I just got mine in the mail yesterday and am anxious to get rid of the front plate. It'll be done today.
