This isn't funny anymore. It has been pouring all day. The ground and rivers are so saturated that there is flooding everywhere. Sucks!

At 11:35 AM, 103 degrees, clear & cloudless.

tomcatt, you did live in an armpit didn't ya? I think the smog gets stuck down there against the hills. It's hot here in Acton but we rarely get smog. How many miles do you have on your baby now?

We may have tons of sun but I have to hold my shifter with a cloth now, so as not to burn my hand, at least till the A/C cools things down. I have a silver reflector I have to put in the windshield everytime I get out.

Thursday 3:10PM... What a wonderful lunchtime

It finally cleared up here, it's about 75*F with large puffy clouds and a pretty stiff breeze. I decided to get some stress relief over lunch so I went for a 10-or-so mile through some twistys nearby. VTEC'd a bit and generally had a great time.

Ohio, it looks like it's heading your way, mebbe the weekend will be a good one for you!!!

Kyras yep, it was an armpit!!! I loved going to the beach, and I spent a lot of time exploring the mountains, but boy oh boy did it ever suck to be us when the smog got bad. Breathing was like sticking a knife down your throat , and the eyes burned BADLY. When it was nice it was incredible, but the bad days far outweighed the good ones. We left after I graduated high school in 69...

Back to work now, thinking of having some fun tonight with the car.

Tom

Ohio -

Didn't you know that Jesus is from California?

"He who haveth the faith of thyn Christian brothern and the almighty Lord from on high, shall sit with me at the right hand of the table in my chapel above, atop Mt. Catalina, where I will summon thy nimbulous clouds to move East, East I say, to the desolate wastelands of Ohio."

He proceedes to proclaim...

"I will also summon the sun god to show himself, but only for a minuet, where those who have no faith will lower their convertible tops. And I will summon the mechanical-motor-convertible-top-putting-down gods to reak havoc on those who dare to lower thier roofs, causing a shortage in the electrical system, disabling them to raise the roof (no pun inended), where I will resend the evil rain gods to pour down upon those of yee little faith!"

tomcatts' older than me, tomcatt's older than meee!

I graduated from Grant High in Van Nuys in 1975. Most of the posters I've seen are in the 20's or early 30's.

It was 107 degrees here at about 2:30PM. It's cooled down to 106 now.

I have no idea, but I am sure we exceeded the annual norm already. Snowfall came about 2 inches from an all time record too. If I hear ANYONE hear whining about a drought, I will personally rip their larynx out of their throat and step on it with both feet and grind it into the sidewalk, while I watch blood spew forth from their throat. There. I feel much better now.
