Its because your lights are flashing on the car when you unlock/lock it with the remote. You will get the same beep if you turn on your lights when the keys are not in the ignition.

When you're in range if your car and you hit the unlock button, your lights will flash once when you hit the button, and a second time about one second after pressing the button. During this time when your lights flash, there is a "beep". This beep will only be audible if you're driver side door is open. For example, if you hit the unlock button and your light flashes once and you open the door before the second flash occurs, you will hear a beep on the second flash. Alternatively, you will hear two beeps (each beep occurring when your lights flash) if you hit the unlock button with your driver side door open.

I hope my post makes sense and clears some of your confusion. All in all, it is normal so don't worry about it.
