There's lots of things people do to their cars just because they can or because somebody else did it. Doesn't mean that you should, or that it's an "improvement".
There have been lots of threads about removing the windshield tape. I personally don't care for the look. Best mods are the easily reversable ones!

As I've said so many, many other times, this is the perfect job for...
DUCT TAPE!!
(Which now comes in sort-of-fair approximations of all the S2000 colors except, I think, Suzuka).
It's cheap, so if you goof, you can just start over. And it's highly durable.
