Hi All,

Looking into different ways to get under my car, I've come across this link over at s2ki...

https://www.s2ki.com/faqs/faq_jack.php

Anybody know where this "rear jacking bracket" is? I've purchased the 2000/2001 S2000 Service Manual, but the picture in *this* manual (pg. 1-11) seems to imply that the differential should be used as the center jacking point. Which is correct? I've peeked under the car as best as I could, but I don't see any special bracket in the rear.

Thanks in advance!

There is no special 'bracket' per se...the rear middle jacking point IS the differential.

HTH!

Ever try to get a mobile hydraulic jack under the front jack point? Putting it there isn't the problem- raising the jack is another thing... I had to strategically position the jack facing the wheel well and then use a large screw driver to raise the jack - the provided handle was way too long to be used in these tight quarters.

Like gregstevens said, the rear jacking point is the differential. The image at S2Ki is just the one I scanned from the Body Repair Manual page 1-4.

Since then I bought a pair of plastic ramps that get the front end up even higher. I use these ramps every 2-3 weeks when I change my tires for autocross. Here's a picture of the new ramp:
Tom, Where did you find the plastic ramps?
