Rear window/shifting noise
Just bought my yellow S2k Saturday. Got it for list price in Northern Virginia. I love it.
The dealership brought it out with the top down (grrr...) and, of course, creased the rear window. Does anyone know a good, safe way to get the creases out? (Practically the first thing I did when I got home was to make a rear-window bolster and line the inside of the back shelf, but it was too late for these creases.)
Also, I can clearly hear a slight "thump" from the rear of the car as I shift gears. Is this normal? (I just sold a '93 Miata, which didn't make this sound.)
Thanks in advance.

Heat from a hair dryer might also speed up the process. As for the rear end noise, it sorta depends. Probably nothing to worry about. I notice it when I back out the garage occassionally - not sure if it's the differential or rear brakes - probably the latter from setting.

ENJOY!! I know I love it!
The sun will usually take most of the creases out of the rear window, if that doesn't work try pouring 170 to 180 deg. F water on it. Watch your toes, the water will drain right in front of the rear tire.
I usually boil water, by the time I get outside to the car it has cooled enough. Real stuborn creases take two applications.
Keep in mind the vinyl has a memory, after leaving the top down in the sun the creases will come back.
Hope this helps,
