This. Compliments are nice and all, but I'm mostly concerned about what this car means to me. While preferences vary and some combinations might be bolder than others, I'm of the opinion that the S2000 as it rolled out of the factory looks good in every color offered thanks to the car's lines. Honda was wise to keep the design as clean as possible and what some saw as too conservative upon release continues to hold up incredibly well over time. When I've had the opportunity to gather with a group of other S2000 owners, there hasn't been a single one of these cars that I haven't admired.

Boring or elegant?
41% of the S2000s imported to the US are some variation of silver and 70% of those were the very elegant Silverstone -- like mine. No surprise mine is this color as color was not on my priority list anywhere.
Ignoring the CR colors both the most common (Silverstone) and rarest (Chicane Silver) are -- yep! -- Silver.

Some people think the reason silver is the most common is because its the most elegant.

From most folks that are motivated to comment: "That's a cute little car." If only they could spend 5 minutes sitting next to me through some backroad twisties…
From my most trusted mechanic (races a MY03, owns his Honda-Acura only maintenance and service business for 25 years, and also knows the original owner of my MY02): "I knew it was low miles, but did not realize this low. The car is pristine underneath. All stock, and don't ever change that...And if you ever even wonder to think about parting with it, call me."
