Hello, I tried rotating the shift knob counter clockwise today to remove it, but I had no luck getting it off. Do the s2000 knobs come off like all other Hondas?

Thanks for your help.

it will unscrew, just like you say, just put a little more muscle into it - you will not break it.

You've got to loosen the locknut under the knob, then it will rotate.

What I did was had someone hold a wrench on the locknut while I turned it counter-clockwise, came off with no problem.

if you're in a cold area. drive around a bit with the heater on full blast in convertible mode to expand the metal. it should help. i think you're supposed to turn the locknut clockwise.
