Thumbs up Repair: SEL/TRIP button, anyone know how to fix?

Trying to figure out how to replace the button. Basically the SEL side of the button has a round hole and does not work. If you look inside the hole, its empty and you can see the little switch inside. The TRIP button works fine.

Does anyone know how to fix this, or what parts to purchase to fix it? Ill try to attach some pictures.

Sounds to me like the button/switch assembly has come detached from the face of the instrument display. You're going to have to remove the cluster and get access from behind. This isn't going to be easy. It involves lower the steering column, removing little plastic covers and lots of little screws. If the car in under warranty, get them to do it.

Take inventory of all the burnt out lights and bulbs, etc, because if your'e going to the trouble to taking that thing apart, may as well change the dead bulbs if you have any.

Well, i ordered in the button from Honda for $2, and it appears to be just a push in installation....... so i pulled the old button out (tearing it up along the way) and pushed in the new button.... now it looks brand new.

No need to pull apart the cluster in case anyone out there also has a damaged SEL/TRIP or -/+ buttons on your cluster!!

Lucky. Now, if you ever had to replace that button again, I guess it's easier to just break it and pull it out from the front.
