rev matching
I can't heel-toe this car for the life of me. Only put a few thousand miles on it though. Driving my RSX putting over 100k miles that was the easiest car ever to heel-toe.
I am curious, when you guys shift from say 6->3 do you blip, shift into 5th, blip and get to 3 and then let go of the clutch? Or do you blip 3 times or whatever quick and go into 3 and then let go of the clutch? I notice the videos revving multiple times, but I only can time it right when going through the patterns and not skipping.

I usually go from 6-5-4-3 instead of from 6-3.
I believe when professional drivers hit the course, they go through the gears and release the clutch for every gear. However, there are those few instances where they don't and I still see them rowing through the gears and blipping the throttle, although they do not release the clutch. I believe they do this is because when going into a turn, it would be difficult to gradually push down the brake pedal while holding down the gas pedal for an extended period of time to get to the right RPMs for a smooth downshift. It's also easier to get to the right RPMs going down the gears then going straight from a high gear (6th) to a low one (3rd).
I also remember reading that going straight from a high gear to a low one is not good for the synchros but that might have been proven to be a myth. Not sure though...

If you want to see some great driving check out the old master in an AP1 prototype.

OP: Just watch videos-- it's much easier. You'll get the hang of it with practice.
