Rick's Screen

James Mullins and I have not had a problem with this. Our screens do oscillate a bit a speed, but they do not make any sound and if you're watching the road, you'd never even notice.
If there's any buzzing, my guess is that it's because the ears of the mechanism are loose, so the suggestion of some glue there is good, we think.

What do you all think about the functionality of the full size screen versus the 7/8? Someone mentioned that the full size intrudes into the wind stream deflecting wind into the cabin. Anyone have thought on this? I have not yet installed mine.

Short of putting the car into a wind tunnel with smoke tracers, we can debate this issue endlessly without ever reaching a conclusive finding. I think it's as much a matter of subjective judgment as anything else.
James Mullins and I, who both have the full size screens, have talked about this since some of the first posts appeared. Some contend that the full size sticks up into the airflow over the top of the car and deflects some air back into the cabin. This has not been our experience. The difference in height between the full and 7/8 size is about 1/2", which I don't think is enough to create that big a difference. The choice, I think, is as much a matter of aesthetics.
In the end, judgments about this may have more to do with the height of the driver than anything else. James, Sam Friedman, and I are all about 5' 8" and we like the full height. Sam, who helped with the development of the prototype screens, has had both the full size and 7/8s on his car, and he concluded that the full size gave better wind protection. Taller drivers, whose heads stick up further into the airstream, may have a totally different experience.
So it's hard to give you conclusive advice.
