Default Roll hoop removal ?

Bought some '06 roll hoops and roll hoop speakers for my '02 and was wondering if anyone could help with some info on removing the oldies so I don't mess anything up?

Any help would be great... and help with pics even better!!!

Thanks,

Jason

ps- Searched to no avail!

I can't help with the installation but you are not going to be happy with the results. I can't even hear my rollhoop speakers. I am thinking about trying some better quality tweeters. I would recommend take the speakers back and use aftermarket products. The concept is good- the execution is not.

Check the link in the second post of this thread: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=400778

BTW, I just removed mine this weekend in the process of replacing my top....it's pain in the ass. IIRC (and I was at it until 1am so I'm not entirely clear on the order), you're gonna need to remove the door sills, rear side panels, 4 rear tray panels, and a couple of panels below the hoop to get it out.

Wher can you get a speaker that small? The stock ones are like 40/44mm wide tops.
Tweeters right behind the head might be a little load and the highs would most likely give you a headache IMHO!

Do you have any sound system in your car now? There may be better ways to improve the sound.

There is another guy on the board that replaced the stock units with Memphis Audio tweeters and is happy with the results. Polk dB 1000 tweeters would fit(1" diameter) and that is what I may go with. I have the stock system with Polk dB6500 components in the doors. I would like some better "fill" from the rear speakers. The polk tweeters will surely be more efficient than the stock speakers and 1" "full range" speakers are a joke anyway. The tweeters would probably at least be audible(unlike the current stock units).
