When I start my car the rev's bounce up and down for a bit until it finds it sell, it also does this when I rev it at a stand still. What causes this. Would a grounding kit help at all.

 

I can't believe nobody has any comment. Must be a complete mystery.

 

My MR2 used to do that when the alternator started going bad. Might be something for ya to check out?

 

If you need a quick knowledgable answer, take the car to a Honda dealer tomorrow.

 

Your description is AWFUL and has almost no detail. Describe it in detail and post in the under the hood section. How long does it last? What range of RPMs does it cover? Does it ever stall? How low does the idle get?

But given the description, I'd clean the throttle body.
