I've driven Miata's and they're fun, but I just don't look at them the same way. I would take an AP1 over the newest gen Miata any day, taking money out of the equation. Just doesn't do it for me.

With Miata's (NA) priced relatively low, it's tempting to build a Miata with a F22 swap. After a quick research, the process is more involved that I had imagined. However, Miata (NA) weigh 2,100 lbs so there is an incentive to performing the swap.

Or, you could just save yourself the headache of a swap in an archaic old chassis, be smog-legal in CA, spank an S2k (very close whp:weight ratio, but much better wtq:weight ratio than an S2k [not to mention, peak torque at 4k rpm]), etc. ...by getting a 2019 ND2 ;D

The 2015 MX-5 = 2000 S2000, took 15 years! at least the new MX-5 body style is starting to look like an S2000.
