Btw, your grandfather had an s2000? that rocks!
Yea he had quite a few nice cars in his life time. He even had a 911 in the early 90's, and a few lower model Porsches before that like the 924. Funny story though, the S2000 is the only car he ever decided to purchase after a lease. He leased literally probably 20 cars in his lifetime, and the S2000 was the only one he enjoyed enough that at the end of the lease, he decided to buy it. Hence, my inherited s2k

Check to see if your top is functioning correctly. I didn't know mine didn't go down 'all the way' do to the straps on the inside getting worn out from the sun. I bought the replacement straps from modifry. Anyways once that was fixed, and the top went down all the way. The boot was 'much' easier to install. Because at first, much like you, I'm like "this is physically impossible! you can't put this thing on!
This was going to be my suggestion. See details here: http://www.modifry.com/products/ctf/details.htm
Thanks guys, I think the straps could definitely be part of the problem. Looking at the replace strap website, I think my top goes low enough but I'll have to double check. Either way I'll probably replace the strap since it sounds like an easy install. Thanks for the great advice as usual!

No problem. He enjoys driving it, move then the BMW Z4 we had last summer. Right now he only drives with me, and he enjoys the VTEC!!!
