s2000 cover
You really don't want a cover that is water proof......it has to breathe.
Never had a cover of any kind scratch a CLEAN car.....you don't want to cover a dirty car.
I use bungee cords to tie the cover down at the front, rear & both sides.Never had one to blow off in a storm.

Truth. Obviously dirt will be an abrasive if you cover a dirty car. And get a cover that's custom fit for the S, it will have a pocket for the antenna and pockets for the mirrors and it will fit snugly so it won't flap around in the wind.
Secret to outdoor cover use:
- never cover car unless its freshly clean (no driving then covering, even if it looks clean)
- use a heavy cover that won't blow around in the wind
- use a cover meant for outdoor use
- use a well fitting cover meant for that specific car, not a universal fit cover
- strap the cover down well so storms don't shift it around causing scratches
From the above you can see that a cover can work for outdoor storage, like over winter, but it really isn't practical if you are going to drive it between bouts of covering (as you'd need to clean it). If you are going to store for winter, storing inside, even if that is not that close to home, is a far better choice.
If you do cover a dirty car, even just temporarily, now cover is dirty and will later scratch car using it even if car is clean.
Using a cover is fine if you follow the rules, but if you follow them using a cover isn't very practical.
