I've been daily driving my S2000 for about a year and it has been great. But now I'm looking to add an E46 M3 for two reasons: back seats and also because I dont want to keep putting mileage on the S2000. I want it to last as long as possible.

This thread is so full of fanboi fail. =)

The s2k is a terrible daily drive, and I did it for almost 5 years, both AP1/AP2.

-The seats lack lumbar support, making any amount of prolonged travel a back wrenching experience. Top that off with the stiffer suspension especially on the AP1.......my back and a$$ ache just thinking about it.
-Above average tire wear, and tire cost. I ended up putting cheaper, better tread rate tires on my AP2, and it killed the driving experience.
-Driving in less than great weather can be dicey even when you are on your best behavior
-You call that a cup holder?
-No Trunk
-Horrible Audio System
-Noise, aside from the road noise, everything rattles in these cars.
-No Torque! Better in the AP2, but still lacking.

I'd still DD my s2k thought
I drove A LOT. As I said I deliver pizza in mine and its completly fine.

Engine is reliable and good on gas and most of all its fun!

Why should a DD car be boring when you are in it the most?

Yea, I know, I try. But having a second car would help alot in certain situations.

The S is a great DD. The only downside I can see is the lack of trunk space. Of course the passenger seat makes up for that.

This is S2000 forum. Ofcourse many fan boys here and ofcourse you will hear more positive feedbacks than any other forum. If these people hate and has all complaint about s2000, ofcourse they wouldn't be here or driving s2000 now. If you that hate why you bought another s2000?

You can leave your comment but no need to pickin on other member's posts.

Btw yes, I call that is cup holder.
You have never been on clubrsx.com have you.... all they do over there is complain about the RSX and talk about how they should have bought car X instead... then bash people for saying good things about the RSX LMAO

I am 6'1" 185 and have daily driven my car for 5 years. Every 3 weeks I take it on a 5 hour trip to Houston and back to pick up my son. Its no fun in stop and go traffic. I have 2 other vehicles, so its not like I have no choice on which car to take and I still choose the S because its so fun to drive. Yes there are some comfort (ride harshness/ noise/ trunk size) issues, but if you want a great car then you have to put up with those kinds of issues. If you are looking for a comfort cruiser then this isn't the car for you. And if you have a big ass, then the usability factor goes down quick.

The s2k is a good daily that gets decent mileage. I commute about 70 total miles a day in heavy traffic. Its easy to drive and is comfortable. I do wish though that i had a four door beater that had reclineable seats because i do like to sleep during lunch. But, i have gotten used to sleeping upright even though my neck and back dont like it too much. Probably in the future i will pick up a more suitable daily and garage the s2k. As far as gas mileage goes, i get about 25-28 mpg in heavy traffic. i fill up about 2 times a week.
