S2000 Getting More Respect
I wish I knew where to buy an s2k for <17G's. I just spent 21k and that was the best deal in town. The kelly blue book on a 2001 is 22k.
Also, I'm glad that there is a fun car out there for the younger people to afford. It is a nice reward for those of us who did our homework in college and studied hard and got out and found good jobs. I'm really sorry if some of you 30 somthings didnt have a fun stylish car in your price range when you were looking for your first vehicle. Why would you want to take that away from me though?
And for the guy who wants a car that only white people drive: get yourself a beat up F150. Seriously, what would be so bad about meeting "a bunch of asians" who share your taste in cars?
Also, if i put a spoiler on my car, am I a ricer? I would hate to get spit on by another s2k owner when I get out of my car, so I need to avoid any mods that make me a ricer.
Finally, do the math. 5000 cars per year *6 years of production / 50 states = 600 s2k per state. thats about .015 percent of the population. i.e. only 15 out of 100,000 people have an s2k. if the price is going down it isnt because there are too many, its because not everyone is interested in the car. Most people have kids and cant afford to have a 2 seater sports car to mess around in on the weekends. (Which is one more thing that makes it nice for the car to be priced for young people. We dont have kids, therefore the car is reasonable for us on a day-to-day basis.)
