Guess I got lucky. Looked for about a month and bought the first one I looked at in person. MY00 with only 27k on it. It was in better condition then the guy described. Only mod was he put on AP2V1 wheels which I like better anyway. Anyway, looks like you found a pretty nice one! Glad your patience paid off for you! Enjoy!

I've been looking for a clean one since November... I'm driving 3 hours away from home to look at one (and hopefully buy if it checks out) tomorrow after my exam! Is it sad to say I am more anxious about getting an s2000 than my exam? hehe

I looked for 2-3 months before I found mine. I bought it with some hail damage at a good price, but only because it was a two owner car and had been really taken care of. Had right at about 27-28k miles. Cant remember exactly right now, but it was sub 30k because that was one of my conditions for purchase. Shes still in need of a hood or hood repair, but Im in the market for a vented hood before long since Im going turbo. I mod and love it, but I take care of my stuff.

Congrats on finding a clean car! I searched for a while as well. It's hard to find a clean one, none the less a clean, low-mileage car. Looking through these posts I'm starting to feel fortunate. The first one I made the trip to look at was an unmodified '04 with just 27k miles. Wound up paying $18k for her, and don't think I could get a similar car for under $20k now. Granted, I had been looking for months to even find one to look at. I feel bad because I don't have a garage to keep her in. She was a weekend car for both of the prior owners, who kept her in the garage and only drove in nice weather. I'm doing my best to find spots in the shade away from everyone at my apartment to keep the paint looking new the as long as possible. I drive her daily and am up to 34k miles. Hoping to keep that number as low as possible, and don't have any intent to modify the car.

Ironic thing is that most people who want "clean" S2000s only want to molest them themselves.
I use the term molested in a non-modified manner. I will buy a modded car all day long as long as it has been taken care of reasonably well. I use the term in this case to describe neglect for basic car care.
Gotcha...

Where in the Southeast are you? I bought my S a little over two years ago and flew down to Gainesville, FL to get mine. Paid 16,100 for an 06 with 69k miles.

I'm here with you in GA. Cobb county.

I'm in the area too. I wonder if I've seen your car. There are a couple around here.

Congrats.

Windshield tape is removed so I'm guessing you also got a hardtop?

No hardtop but I guess it is possible the first owner may have had one or maybe the seller was selling it separately and didn't mention it.

After reading all of this I don't feel as bad paying a little more than I wanted for mine. Congratulations on the car
