I've never had this happen before on any vehicle, but I'm noticing some chips on my 2002 OEM wheels on the inner spokes. I'm in the Northeast, but I don't drive the car in the winter and it's garage kept.

I had my rear wheels refinished under warranty because of the pitting. Fronts have no problem

Here in the UK wheel corrosion is a pretty well-known issue, probably due to all the salt and rain we get on our roads. Most dealers will replace them FOC.

It looks to me from the photos that your wheels are suffering from the same problem, ask the dealer to replace them.

I just got new OEM replaced under warranty last week!

On my old wheels I made a template and put it on the leading spokes with 3m clear bra plastic. After 6 months the plactic still looked new with no mar marks.

I can have extra ones made up for anyone on there that is interested in stopping this problem from happening again. You can't see them as they belnd in.

The reason why the wheels pit is because the spokes are so outboard from the wheel
hub. Many aftermarket wheels have the spokes closer to the hub of the wheel whereas
Honda places them significantly outward which I assume, was done to aid in cooling
the brakes/rotors.
