See the one dot priced at $50k? That was the 2002 that skewed the averages. Sorry guys, nothing special about the year 2002.

Go look at the chart now, you'll see its normal looking.

Yep, I was going to say that small sample size skewed the results. There is no reason that any one year would be significantly different than any other.

The graph doesn't really say anything. So it's almost useless. What's size is the data pool? My guess on the 2002 graph is that is ONE car sold with the data group being ONE for that model year.

There's lies, damn lies, and then there's statistics.

In the Overstock graph, there are 27 MY02 S2000s included in the data. The outlier is a vehicle being listed for $46,000. It's is not a Honda S2000 - it is a race car meant for the Sports 2000 racing class in SCCA.

To get a better view of the S2000 prices, modify the vehicle search to max out at $40k or so. That produces a graph MUCH closer to what is expected.
MY00 average - $13887
MY01 - $14161
MY02 - $16028
MY03 - $16121
Etc

You can click on the years in the graph to look at only that particular year, if you want.
