don't bother with a cover and just brush the snow off frequently. all a cover is going to do is build up crap between it and the car.

The cover fits nice, has two straps one for the front and one for the rear which tie the ends up pretty well so not much dirt or water gets in. When ever i take the cover off the car loosk perfect just the way i left it. Nice way to spend 35 bucks imo.
what is the cover made out of?

i currently have my car burried under nyc snow pile and plowed snow up the side of the car. i also have a "cheap" cover on the car but i made sure to pile all the snow around the car so the cover doesn't blow around like a sail on a boat. i figure it beats having the salt splattering on the car and since it's not really moving it won't really scratch the paint. i'll post a pic if anyone wants but it's not that hard to imagine.

putting a cover on if it's going to be outside is a good idea but keep in mind, if you take the cover off and drive the car, you have to wash off all the grime (salt, dirt, etc) and dry it before you put the cover back on or the grime that's on the car will be ground into the paint by the cover---not good.
