S2000 tows like a champ!
I emailed it to Yogi, but I haven't heard anything back yet.
The weird old fisher guy didn't really have anything interesting to say. I think he was just bored.
You'll see on the video how well it did pulling it out. Traction was not really an issue even on the slimy pavement, but the engine did bog down for a second. I didn't have to rev the engine more than 3K or so.

I still maintain that all of you "nay sayers" are just speaking out your asses, and don't have much (or any) real knowledge or experience on the subject. It is very common for a trailer to way more than the vehicle towing it. I agree that a truck would be way safer towing on the highway, but I'm not towing it on the highway. I am confident that the "damage" I'm doing to my car is insignificant.
I dunno if it makes me a nay-sayer... but I made my comments based on what I've experienced with a much lighter load. An uphill is an uphill, but I can't say that I'd know what's involved because...
1. I've never done that before in an S2000
2. I don't have 4.77 gearing (which makes a big difference since you have a % gear reduction in 1st making it more effective in the initial stage of getting it up. Once moving on level ground wouldn't matter as much.
3. I've had problems with a 300 pound passenger in my car on an uphill on a hot day. A load is a load no matter where it is on the car. Just like a mountain bike in the lowest gear possbile will experience more load if you daisy chain a bunch of people on inline skates being pulled by the bike. There will be a significant load increase on the engine (it'll require more power to get the static componets moving initially). Once moving though, I'd imagine that it won't be as bad. The hard part is getting it started.
I agree with you about people talking about how they seem to know something they've never tried. (I do that sometimes) However I think that you're taking it the wrong way... by listening to the others, they're only trying to look after your best interests. On the flip side of things, I don't feel as though you should run around preaching how we should all tow our boats out of the water as you have either.
