S2000 vs CR
CR has most of the upgrades that regular S owners go for. HT, updated exhaust, newer rims, lip and spoiler and upgraded suspension. I would have gotten a CR if I could have (none around).
Go for what you want...the main point is whether or not you want to be able to drive with a convertible top or a HT.

Buy the car that you feel is right for you. Think about what you want from the car. Are you going to track it? Do you plan to go from top up to top down often ( just having a hardtop gets old if you decide to remove it every other day)? Are you planning on doing some heavy modification (why buy a CR)?
With all of that said, I have a CR and absolutely love it!

IMO I didnt want a CR - the body kit HAS grown on me some since seeing more and more pictures of it. But I ended up with an '08 - I love being able to put the top up or down and really to me thats where it boils down. Having just a hard top means a lot of planning before a trip plus this is my DD.
I had a 'na' miata with a HT and really liked it but putting it on or taking it off was a hassle.

Less practical for moost and more money . You have to sacrafice some to ownn a CR. IMO, it is the car to get but only if you really, really want one. Since you asked the question "should I?", you probably shouldn't.
This topic comes up quite often. Everyone's already hit on the point you need to consider most: do you want to be able to go top down often? If so, don't get the CR. You will get tired of screwing with the hard top after the first week of nice weather.
If you don't care about that and you want a more track-oriented car sure get the CR if you really think it's worth the extra money. For me it wouldn't be. Plus I don't like the look.

I didn't want CR even if it was the same price and regular...
I wouldn't trade my 94k mile AP1 straight up for a new CR.
AP1 with 9k all the way
