As I've mentioned elsewhere, a Honda Assistant Zone Manager (not a decisionmaker by any means, but an insider) told me that he's pretty sure that there will be a 2002 model, and the question after that is whether Honda concludes that a sports car platform ages too much after three years.

FYI, my buddy at the Acura dealer says he talked to a Honda rep this month who thinks that the S2000 will be discontinued as a Honda and replaced with an Acura version. Considering that the S2000 was supposed to be an Acura in the first place, I guess it's possible.

does it matter wether Honda stop or not? Don't you want a bunch of S2K running around and dominate the HONDAS? I know that the resale price will be down, and the special feelings will be less, but imagine a supercharger for 3G.

Actually, the SSX concept was rumored to sell under the Acura badge early on. Hey, I just read Autoweek and hope for the best.
