Thanks for the compliments. My garage is my man cave. I spent a lot of time and effort getting it designed and built to the best of my abilities. Its fully insulated, heated, coated floors, ample lighting and storage etc...

Anyways, the cafe racer is a 2010 Triumph Thruxton with 1455 miles. All I have are OEM accessories such as the Triumph Off-Road mufflers, Triumph Flyscreen and triumph tune in the ECU.

Couple of more pics for you...Thanks for asking!!!!

PS - Sorry for the jack!

I went from a 08 SI (4DR) to 07 S2000. I can say the SI's gearbox is wayyyyy smoother, its like butter.
that is true, BUT that's because of the different shifting mechanism used on the cars... where it's a cable system in the si, and it's a direct system in the s2000. cables themselves absorbs the vibrations, hence it seems smoother; where as the direct system transfers the vibrations, hence you feel it in your hand when you shift. but, you could minimize the vibrations and make it feel "smoother" using a heavier shift knob (somewhere like 400g+ will do...)

Pretty much what I said above - The SI feels smoother because of the cable and shifter base arrangement. The S2000 is more direct. S2K throws are definitely shorter tho.

Then I paid off the Accord in 4 years, and a week before I closed on my house last spring I drove to TN and bought my S2000. Absolutely thrilled that I waited; the S is 'just a car', but to me it's a very special car that deserves far more than road salt and grocery getting. It makes it that much more special to me that I only drive it when I can pull the top down and pretend I'm an F1 driver on every curvy road that I can find.
That's very close to my story, too.

SI is a great daily, but not in stock form. you need full bolt ons, suspension. and a tune to get it to perform like an s2k.

Again, depends - I think the s2000 gearbox is definitely sportier, but a more involved car overall. When I am in rush hour traffic after a mind-numbing day at work and I am dead tired, the SI is an easier car to drive and the gearbox is smooth and perfect. When I really want to drive, the s2000 gearbox is more fun to click off high rpm shifts and such.

go test drive both and decide for yourself. if a picture is worth 1000 words, then driving/experiencing it for yourself could sum up an entire volume of the britannica......

Was in the same shoe as you last year when I was choosing between the Si, RSX type-S or S2000.

Skip this part and go to the last if you don't like to read.
Owned an EP3 at that moment and realized that the DC5 has the same chasis with the EP3 and I'm not gonna get another car but actually just swapping out the shell.
Plus that's not a really great chasis too.
So took the DC5 out of the list.

NOT recommend you to test drive from the dealer because that can't really test what you want.
For me, I decided to test drive my friend's car
I personally love both of them. And if I can choose I would get both!

Comfort: Although both of them are still kinda bumpy on the freeway but driving the Si is "easier" when it's in traffic, or get tired of work or school or whenever you just want a car for transport not "drive".

Room: The Si has way more room but just wondering when do I need that extra back seats? as a college student? the answer is driving your friends to party. Trust me, no one is gonna ask you for carpool if you have a S2k but you will be the driver if you have an Si. Plus, the s2k is enough to carry your grocery needs. I usually go to grocery once a week for one week needs.

Cost: Maintenance cost for Si is slightly lower than S2k. Si has better gas milage. But for insurance, it depends. I mean, for me, the insurance for Si is greater than the S2000 because I'm comparing an 2000 AP1 to an 09 Si. Plus to get a used S2000 is cheaper than a used Si. So the initial cost of S2000 is cheaper in my situation.

I would say go for the S2000 because
1) it's discontinued which means it will become rare rare when time passes.
2) If you need room or something you can ask your brother for the SE-R.
3) Can't give opinion for snow since I've never driven on snow. But, it's not gonna snow for 365 days right? I mean if you can enjoy driving the S2000 and the beauty of balance for 182.5 days/year thats enough.
4) A sedan can wait but a sport convertible can't. Let's burn that gas before they ran out.

The last honest opinion, everytime when I sit in my S and look back. I think I'm lucky to own an S in this age. Each time I turn off the engine after the drive there is a smile on my face. Never regret to make this decision.

Just my 2 cents. Good luck on your choice.
Please bear me if I've made any grammar mistakes or the post is hard to read as English is my second language.

On my local Craigslist, there are at least 3 people with newer Si asking to trade for an S2000. Usually people want to trade up. And if you don't like it, it should be easy to find someone to trade you an Si.
