Hopefully you wont have many (or any) more opportunities in life to put "Luckily" at the beginning of that sentence again.

I was going about 35-40mph, not even turning, just going straight.

WW! A few inches towards the front of the car and that tree woulda caved your door in like no other. You are very lucky. Glad to hear that you walked away from this one with only minor injuries.

btw - I see you're in NOVA...where did this accident occur?

....were your rear tires bald? Doesn't look like it from the pictures. Don't see a wet road either. Curious how this could happen....

You can clearly see the tires in the pics. They have plenty of tread left. But on a dry road bald tires have better traction then ones with tread still on them. I'd really like to know how the car just spun out going straight at 40.

Wow you poor guy, the question is you going to buy another one? I recently got side swiped by an ol' lady $6,000 damage! but I have my baby back.

P.S. really easy to spin the S - husband and I spun it round a month after we bought it..........I threatened to take it back but fell in love with it. It is a suprizingly strong little car!
