That's excellent!!!

We are going to have a great time! We used the Renaissance in Knoxville last time which was nice. . .I personally did not stay there, I was at the Marriott Residence Inn which was really great! Best thing is to find out what is the best location and where we plan to do most of meet. . .example: Dragon's Tail or Blue Ridge. . .

Well it's great to start seeing participation! I can and will DO ANYTHING humanly possible to get this done right!

Let me know and it'll happen! Awesome! Dragonball Run is coming! Spetember 21st - 22nd!

Airgate, I think our HQ should be Knoxville. Who was the contact at the Knoxville Honda dealership there? Maybe they will host another Friday afternoon meet at that dealship.

We will need to contact the Renaissance Hotel in Knoxville to see if they have rooms available and can setup some parking for the group.

Rick,

hopefully no one made you feel left out by not getting any responses.

If you would like to navigate, I'll have an open seat...plus I'll need a co-driver (as long as you promise not to put it into a wall at Laguna Seca).

The Dragonball Run is on! Oh man, CLASSIC name!

What kinds of things did you guys want to have as far as dinners and other functions at the hotel? Or are you thinking of just identifying restaurants and having everyone congregate there? As you saw in Asheville, we rented two ballrooms and had organized plated dinners there. Yes, that's a ton of work and time is of the essence. Gotta hurry and identify a bunch of stuff NOW if you want to go that route.

Also, what about a vendor expo, of sorts. Nothing on the level of S2KDays, as that was a lot of work and it took a ton of time. Maybe we can swing a few to come hang out and represent their companies. I know that Zaino and likely Zymol would be willing to come out. I would just need to make a couple of contacts.

So here's the tough part...how big of a deal do you want this to be? We set a goal of 100 cars in Asheville, actually, I just pulled that outta my keester, and we were right about there. Looks like good numbers for this event, too. How serious/formal do you want to go? Time constraints may dictate that to a large degree, but the Project Manager in me, tells me that we need to i.d. the scope and manage it...

How about it? Put your thinking caps on, ladies and germs...!

Greg,
I'm delighted that you could take time out from your busy schedule today to post here. If it gets crazier, maybe only an hour and a half lunchbreak for you from now on.

Mack is on his way to Asheville as I write this. I know he'll have ideas we'll discuss tonght.
I don't know Knoxville like he does.

I'm somewhat leery of the plated dinner$, contract$,garanteeed number$, etc. But I've been wrong before. I'd hate to divide your time planning between this and Monterey.

It would be nice to have a place where everyone could be addressed as a group for East '02 planning and contribute their ideas, about when, where, etc.

I'm sure we could get the vendors from Wilmington, NC to join us. Everyone needs a new t-shirt now and then.

I think we have just enough time for a good turnout.
