I loved my S2000 because for the money it is an exceptional car, but seriously, it didnt take long for me to hand over the keys for something different.

I bought a 02 NSX. Ive heard the arguments, but to me there is a night and day difference between even an NSX and an S2000. Say what you want about NSX's list price, none of them sell for that. Say that it only has 50 more HP. Fine. But after driving a few different NSXs and 911s, my S' days were numbered. There really is no comparison. Sure the S2000 drives well, and they perform admirably, but they are not up to snuff against the next level up the chain, which is where 911s and NSXs clearly live. I chose the NSX cuz I didnt want a 911 - they were priced identically. I also prefer the look.

I too thought there was little diff between an NSX and a S2000 - till I spent more time in an NSX and less time listening to people deluding themselves.

My NSX feels way faster than my old S2000, which is backed up by those who magazine race. It seems to handle better, although Ive not pushed it much. Its more comfortable, although comfort is less important to me. It feels dramatically more solid and you can tell that there's just more to the car. I donno if Id call it an "exotic", but Id definately call it a big step up for me.

I don't know why you have to come off so rude if someone has a differing opinion, and you do lack tact as dcak has stated.
You don't have a differing opinion, you are clearly making shit up. Don't make shit up and I won't call you on it. Outside of your comment on the seats every single point you made about the 911 turbo was incorrect. My guess is that you sat in one at a dealer once and made some inferences as to how it might handle given AWD and the numbers. Clearly you are way off base. There is no way in hell anyone who has any experience with the car would share your "opinion" as it is clearly baseless.

So the S is has 50 hp less than the NSX-R and it was right behind the Modena on the track.

It seems reasonable. Light weight and nimbleness goes a long way on the track my friends
Again, for what as to be the umpteenth time from numerous folks, what you saw there was a result of driver, not car capability. The S2000 is slower in every measure of performance than the NSXR.

I think most of us S drivers are right there with you. If we could afford even 70k for an NSX we'd probably own one. The S is just the next best and most affordable option.

Arghh......did you see anywhere I wrote S2000 is faster than the NSX-R....Read it carefully before you start ripping other people's posts.

Steve C, I believe you are making a lot of friends here. Keep up the good work!

I have a 2000 NSX and while the NSX is faster than the S2000 in the straight line, i don't think you can as easily "throw" the car around turns as the NSX. I tend to think most of the people are not professional drivers thus just because the magazine says one thing it may hold true for the common person, at times at least. World's best handling car, if you remember that, i think it's far from that. I find the car very "heavy" with throttle responses "slow" but overall an "exotic" for a not so exotic price. But compare which two car is more "fun" to drive, it would have to be hands down the S2000.

NSX is just too sweet. It is my dream car! Better yet, some early models are like 30 something thousands dollars now. Just buy one and put it in the garage as the weekend drive is worth it.

Not me. The NSX is too big, and offends my sense of engineering efficiency.

I think Steve C proves that there is a fine line between the sublime and the ridiculous. In other words, he seems to draw a fine line between unrealistic expectation and reality.

Without his comments, and others like him, this board would be no better than the Celica forum, where BullSh!T goes compeletly uncheck and Noobs stay Noobs, Ignorant and gullible forever. Oh, and they compare themselves to the exotics too. From the outside, that

Who are you to say to such baseless nonsense about me? You don't know me, and I really don't want to know you. To use profanity and right-wrong verbiage like you do would make one conclude you if you do own a Turbo, it's because you're ultimately shallow, to get women (if you

"...Porsches are a dime a dozen around Boston..."

So are s2000's.

"...I get way more looks in the S2000, than in any Porsche/BMW/Mercedes I have been in."

That just means you have been in the wrong ones my friend
