So, I've used the same p/n oil filter for a few different hondas... civic/crx/teg/jdm b16.... the question is... S2K the same as well?
I ask because I bought a ton (10) at $3 cost before... and there's still plenty left.
thanks,

Yes, it's the same one and it will fit.
But do you really want to use the same oil filter that was designed for a Civic?
IMO, it makes sense to spend a little extra to get a high performance oil filter to protect your 9,000 rpm revving engine!

Shingles-
Use the OEM filter. It's fine.
I've seen Mobil One filters have problems, and FRAM filters have dropped in quality lately. I've never used anything other than OEM filters for all my cars.
As long as you follow or exceed the maintenance guidelines you'll be fine with the OEM filter.

There was a study done awhile back about oil filters: Honda and Mobil 1 are the top two oil filters. I currently use the new Mobil 1 High Efficiency oil filter, seems to fine...

Seems to me that if you want "peace of mind" you would use the filter designed by the company that designed your engine. It is well documented as one of the previous poster has said that the Honda filter is one of the best. If you ever had an oil filter related engine problem they could not give you a hard time as long as it was a Honda filter. I only use Honda filters with Mobil 1 oil.
