i dont regret it but i did like my si alot. its a fun car and made a great dd. wish i could have kept both.

If I had to choose one car I'd pick the S2000 hands down. I can live with its limitations for the fun it offers. Imo anyone who gives up on the S for DD just isn't trying hard enough.

Also, fwd sucks. If I lived somewhere where a rwd car isn't practical, I'd be in an awd car.
Snow tires on a FWD are good for winter driving. You dont need AWD. For that matter Snow tires on an S2000 also make it driveable. It's not so much the snow, but the road salt that is the killer, and it creeps into every crevice there is. This is why some people dont drive their cars in the winter. Besides the snow on the ground makes for rough roads and potholes from clearing equipment. The S has low ground clearance and you could potentially sustain damage to the underside. Therefore, please don't knock us for driving a FWD.

I think each drivetrain (FWD, RWD, AWD) possesses its own unique characteristics, and enjoy driving them all.

I bought my S2000 knowing I would have to drive it all year round. I also chose an MY00 S2000 so no traction control or driving assistance (aside from ABS). To be honest, I like having an impractical car. I'm never bothered to give my friends rides, or give them rides to and from school. I'm rarely ever bothered to do the groceries (at Costco) since about half the things someone buys will probably not fit in the car unless they want to hold it on their lap or want me to make two trips, one dropping off the things they bought and another to pick them back up. The car isn't even that bad in the winter... I was able to manage the Canadian winter on all-season tires mounted on the stock wheels (I was told the wider the tire, the worse it is in the winter). To be honest, I think any car can manage the winter as long as you're not running on summer tires and you drive according to the conditions. I also got washed my car at least twice a week to get all road salt off since I have a heated garage

Where in Canada? There are parts you get snow up until April and temp stay at 30 Fahrenheit until May. I know because I’ve been in those places. I cannot imagine an S2k been able to handle such snowy places
