S2k value dealers pay?
#11
So, I had never sold a car myself, but I had a really good experience using Bring a Trailer to sell my FD RX-7. I would highly recommend it to sell a car like yours. If you, or anyone else, has any questions about my experience or the Bring a Trailer process, let me know.

Having just sold my S2K on BAT, be aware that it takes some time. From when I first submitted the car until the auction closed was easily 6 weeks. Add another week or two for payment and to actually ship the car and you are looking at 2 months all day long.
Fortunately on mine selling the S2K didn't prevent me from buying the C8, but just a cautionary note.

That's funny, I guess it depends on the buyer, the guy who won my auction sent a wire transfer within an hour of it ending and the transport came the next morning to pick up the car.

Agreed, many dealers are also collectors. If KBB retail is $30, a dealer will want to buy your car at around $24. You should be able to get them to $26 or 27, but they have to be able to make a profit to buy it.
Visit local Honda or Acura dealers and ask if any of their salespeople autocross, drift, race, or own S2's. That's who you want to talk to.
You can also see your car's value on Hagerty's valuation tool here>>> https://www.hagerty.com/apps/valuati...08-Honda-S2000
Bring a Trailer is the best way to expose your car to nationwide buyers and get the most $$. I have successfully bought and sold on BaT, and highly recommend them. Plan on taking lots of photos.
They recently improved their process with a checklist and a timeline... your car could be live on the site in less than 2 weeks, and should do around $30k.
If you use BaT and mention 200mph referred you, I'll get bonus points, thanks!
