SC???? HP fuel pump or not?
I trust you guys more than a dealer!
Just wondering...do I need to add, or should I add a Fuel Pressure Modifier and/or a High Volume/High Pressure Fuel Pump
when I go to install my Comptech SC? What about a new Throttle Body? I am hesitent to ask the retailers as they sometimes sell you things you do not need. (No really)
My driving application is mostly "easy but aggressive" street, some racing and occasional track. Probaly like most of you. I want a fast, RELIABLE S2000. I just want to ensure that I am not creating the problem of component breakdown while adding performance with this SC. I already decided on a new exhaust, for the sound mostly, and the other MODS are cosmetic.
Can anyone suggest a reasonable "Turn-Key" application set-up for my SC (Comptech) use? I can drive it once it's there (HP), but getting it there can be a challenge for me. Thanks for the help.

The Comptech kit comes with an Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator and a high flow Fuel Pump.
Nothing else is needed, it's a kit, not just a blower.
Throttle Body and Exhaust did increase the HP on my SC S2000 by 15 rwhp.

Not necessary. The guys running it will probably say it's necessary, though.
The GhostBooster is a circuit that feeds a short range of voltage to the ECU from the MAP sensor. They limited the voltage range it can send so that it can only tell the ECU that it's seeing 6PSI or less (in theory), all the time.
Comptech's solution for tricking the MAP/ECU is to bleed off the PSI as it's coming into the MAP sensor, and it works fine for most of us. The GhostBooster came about when Comptech was still working on getting the right type of valve for the kit to work in different climates. I think it only stuck around with the people who had problems during that time. The check valve will hesitate every once in a while (only once in the last 6 months for me). Stick with the Comptech setup unless you have a problem that they can't/won't fix.
