I installed my Comptech SC and ever since have had a strong fuel smell. I know there was some talk about this with early kits and some plumbing replaced but not sure of the details.

Also, being RHD my plumbing is a bit different. The braided high pressure fuel line runs forward to the front crossmember where my FPR is located, and the fuel returns flows back alongside it to the OEM fuel return line.

I know ther has been some leakage around the fuel rail fitting but think that is solved, and the smell seems to be under the car. My exhaust guy was under the car at the back and thought the leak might be there. May be around the fuel pump (I hope not, it's very hard to get to).

Does anyone have any ideas or past experience with fuel leaks in a Comptech SC'd S?

 

 

Stratocaster pointed me to Modifry's post about the lousy braided fuel line. A bit disappointing considering how well put together the kit is.

I'll swap it our and see if it cures the smell.
