Default Fuel pump that comes with comptech sc kit

Hi, I have had the comptech supercharger kit installed for about 3 months now and all of a sudden the fuel pump started to get really noisy. Does anyone know why it would all of a sudden get louder (same sound as when start up just much louder)?

I've also noticed (before the noise) that there is a strong gas smell in my car when it sits. I have no cat...but I seem to remember that the smell wasn't as strong the first month or so. Any ideas on this one as well, do I have a fuel leak somewhere? Thanks.

This is quite common. I have the Vortech and sometimes the fuel pump will "ramp up" and make a very noticeable high pitched whine. It comes and goes. I've heard that the Comptech will do the same. I'm surprised that this is the first you've heard it. I wouldn't worry about it.
It has also been reported about this fuel smell. On some of the previous generation Comptechs, the fuel lines they used were very porous and they seeped gas. Comptech has sent out replacement fuel lines when this situation has been brought to their attention. These would be the new "add-on" fuel lines that were needed to connect up their fuel pressure regulator (management unit). Again, some kits had the fuel smell immediately and some cars took a while before it became an issue.

Thanks xviper. I'll talk to them about the lines and see if I can get better ones.
