Default scratched already

I woke up 2 days ago and saw scratches in the front of my brand new car. An SUV,(had to be) backed up a little too far. This shit always happens to me. First, my motorcycle, I had it two weeks and some bitch decides to do a 360 in front of me. (Almost totaled) Second my RSX, Had it two months and someone plowed me in the rear. Now someone scratched me all up. I have the worst luck or You just cant have anything nice in this world. I might be able to buff it out, but it still sucks. Hope you guys have better luck.

I was lucky, had my S almost 2 years before some very young female driver of non-American descent hit me head on while I was sitting at a stop sign. So I had that repaired, looked almost brand-new, and a few weeks later I managed to be behind one of those construction dump trucks that let a large rock fly that bounced on to my hood, putting a nice ding in it with matching scratches. So I'm starting to think that it's a hopeless battle (especially in NJ) to keep a car pristine.

It certainly is a difficult job keeping them pristine. I have about 8 chips in my windscreen from flying debris and about the same number of smaller dents from people opening car doors on it. I also have a dent where a mechanic has dropped a spanner plus a mark where a valet parking guy hit a curb.

Plus the damage to my wheels after the tyres were replaced by inconsiderate fitters who took no care in their job.

...and then there's the kangaroo mark on the back bumper, it's final swipe as it barrelled down the side of the car.

Actually, that reminds me... I discovered a scrath the other day, on the driver's side under the door. I have no clue how I got that one, and it's not really visible unless you know it's there and the light hits it just right. Still, it bothers me.

Does anyone have an idea if I can buff it out somehow, to make it at least somewhat less visible? Any suggestions what to use?

for shallow scratches and paint marks I use Meguiars' Scratch-X. (the only thing I tried that really works). If the scratch is deeper then you have to repaint using a small brush (how'd'ya call those things....like a nail polish)
