I have an 03' with 33k. The shifter has always been hard to get into reverse. Today, I got it into reverse but now I can't get the shifter to "pop" back up. Now I can't shift into fifth or sixth gear. Sorry if this has been discussed before but does anyone have any suggestions? It's Saturday and the dealership service dept is closed. A salesman stated that mayge the synchro was bad but I think he's wrong. Help anyone!

 

My buddy has a short shifter and his does that. He just pulls on it until it pops back up.

 

check the spring?? maybe it's stuck or something?

 

The shifter and spring assembly is really easy to remove... maybe 15mins....
I would take it aparts, clean everything and put it back together...
