Haha. 99 times out of 100, if you're driving properly, you'll never notice the CDV. But that 1 time out of 100, when you start bouncing off the revlimiter with the clutch slipping, FUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!

No one NEEDS an 06+ S. Sure the VSA and TBW are nice additions but in my eyes, its just more stuff that can break, and if you really need VSA to be a safe driver, you are better off taking the money you save by getting an 05 and getting driving lessons.

[QUOTE=TheSteel,Feb 21 2011, 05:07 PM]Nice quoting only half of that text, it certainly wasn't the part about me saying I haven't drivin a 06+ s2000 to compare the typical DBW car to.

Thats like saying no one needs air bags and seat belts.....if fact VSA is probably a MUCH better safety option then seatbelts and airbags.

a side from 9k RPM, AP2 is a much better choice for many other reasons other then VSA and programmable ECU (too much to even list)

My past 3 cars and current S2k has VSA-like systems and saved my ass number of times in rain and especially in snow

The rev hang you all keep talking about comes from the heavy flywheel, not the DBW

06+ are easier and cheaper to mod, not the other way around.

bro get the 06 an up. it is by far the best s2000 made. there is so much more you can do with tuning it, its way smoother, newer seats/tach, just an all around better s2k vs the older ap2 or even ap1.
