Buy some 3M double sided tape and prepare both surfaces properly. I don't even use the pins anymore. I've had the strakes on for 6 months with just 3m tape and the 2 screws near the wheel. Seems to be a much better fitment with tape as well.

can anyone reccommend what to do about the rubber piece underneath? Mine are always popping out of place.....it really sucks. Can those be removed, or are they actually attached to the actual strake?

they're attached over. as far as i know, any kit you get doesn't replace the part, only fits over it. at least when you're talking about side strakes.
