As long as it's not 'Rice' I love to see all the crazy stuff that can be done.

I would NOT do it to mine.

But I have respect for people who do hi quality work no matter how

RICE imo is some 16 year old kid putting on his home made mods with glue, tape or whatever.

Sloppy install of crappy parts = RICE imo.

I don't know how you guys could be confident that while under a hard cornering situation you don't destroy your tire/fenders.
My S2000 had offset of +45 all around 9" rear and *" front. I had my fenders rolled and pulled, rear quarter panels rolled. I had no problem taking hard turns at all. If I go over a huge dip and this happens only at a particular freeway I would hear a rub. The car was flawless...

Why is there a thread for this? Were you just trying to generate a mob of people that don't like seeing S2000's slammed? If you have to ask why people slam cars and run crazy offsets, then you obviously don't understand it. People are going to do what they want and what they think looks good. You have every right not to dig it, but no need to hate on it. You might think it's ridiculous, but a lot of people, myself included, think it looks dope. It's just another thing about cars that people can get excited over, so why not let them? Everyone has a different agenda for their car. I wish I could dump mine, but that would kick me out of "stock class" for Auto-X. This is my "performance/function" car, so I have to be pretty particular about how I'm lowering it if I were to do so. However, I really see no problem with someone slapping a decent set of coilovers on an S2K or any car for that matter because they want to have a slammed car. If handling isn't a priority, then what's the issue?

The only problem I have - and this goes for anyone modifying any car in any way - is when people think they are improving handling/performance without understanding what exactly it is they are doing to the car. So many people on this site throw something on their car and think it's going to "ride like it's on rails" when really they just messed up the car's balance.

Okay okay... Check this... What do you think of my little F20 project?

Cool to some... Sacrilegious in the TOYOTA world... Do I care?? No... It's my car and my money and I'm quite happy with the results. My opinion is the only one that counts when it comes down to MY cars.

If the OP doesn't like SLAMMAGE why not buy all the S2000's in the US so they can all be stock.

To each his/her own.

/end thread

I see it as if we wonder why people run crazy offsets then I wonder why do people dress weird, have crazy haircuts sometimes, are so pro-this or con-that.

Everyone has their own definition of cool. In socal spending $150-$300+ on a pair of jeans or shirts is commonplace. In other places around the country that's absolutely ludicrous. What can I say, people are people...

For the record, I respect the will and drive and creativity to fit those wheels on our cars. But would I do it... no, would I drive those VIP style cars with camber beyond belief... no. Meh!?

It's nice to be different. 90% of owners on this forum do not track their car.

It's really all about driving what makes you "happy". I personally will never completely slam with extreme negative camber and low offsets..... but it would suck if I never saw those rides. I like to see unique s2k's different from mine.

And it's usually for gay shit

I like the low offsets, but like them more on the VIP style cars. But each dude has his own style(speed, show, hard parking).

If everyone was the same, we'd be looking at the same shit over and over.
