Thank you!!! finally. What is a "PITA" btw? I'll serach it I guess. So basically, having a test pipe and AEM EMS tune is possible to own and still pass SMOG. Sweet. Anything else I should know? PS I found out how to search. lol

And there are pro's to living in california.. many of them. Too bad our hobbies don't mix with the laws of Cali.

How much of a PITA can plug n play with EMS be?

Well someone has to tune it for you... Search for EMS and you'll find all kinds of info.

Most people that own the AEM EMS, usually have a ton of other major mods on their car, namely bigger injectors, built engines, and/or FI'ed, or ITB's.

Not sure if the gains NA and just a test pipe are worth the nearly $2000 for the EMS and the pain of having to swap it in and out every time you smog.

you have an EMS and the only other mod you have is a Test Pipe? If so, put your stock ecu back and sell the EMS.

To remove the EMS all you need to do is unplug the harness and plug the stock ecu back in.
