So I test drove an s2000 today
Looks rare to me. The price is reasonable. Each location in the usa will differ in price due to supply and demand. With tax if that dealer is firm your looking at 20k suspect not sure what lic and tax in that area is.
When I was looking to buy I found out real quick the good clean s2000's are hard to find. Thats in my area. I also was not going to pay over 16k so that made it more difficult.
I suspect the dealer selling this car will get very close to what their asking.
The clutch I'm sure is fine as all stated.
The wood grain is not a big deal to change if you dont like it.
Oh yea old farts burn rubber too.

I believe the woodgrain in that car is a stick on kit.
It looks like very thin wood veneer with 3M tape holding it on.
There were several companies selling the woodgrain dash kits kits for the S2000s a few years ago.
If that's what it is, it will come off easily By running dental floss or fishing line under the pieces to cut the tape. (3M tape is what's holding our exterior moldings on)
