k has plenty of torque, so it will move.
It does have good torque, hmmmmmm. Trying to look for disadvantages here, the job would be cheap, the guys f20c motor would sell to pay for the k20A2, these engines are about the same price used. I bet the a/c lines bolt right up to the compressor, i noticed the a/c compressor would be in the exact same spot. Did you know the 2jz swap i did, the honda a/c lines off the s2 fit right into the 2jz compressor?? I freaked out man! Its a/c compressor was also in the same position as the s2 was. Got lucky there!

Okay, i found a few disadvantages, nothing major: the wiring harness of the k20 goes along the exaust side toward the front of the motor, may have to re-rought or possibly extend the k20 wiring harness a little, it has to go to the drivers side of engine bay- behind clutch master cylinder. Thats no biggie. But what about the K20A2 has a reverse lockout sensor on the 6speed tranny, i do know K-pro recognizes that. Wonder if the s2000 trans has this sensor as well, ill have to check.

Fabricating mounts and trans adaptor will be cake, i know this cause im putting a f20c in a 94 civic hatch, had to design trans adapter plate for the k20A2 6speed trann, again, thats the only trans i could use, b-series rotates backwards.

No doubt the Sr20 would be great...Lets Talk 4g63 for the fun of it. I saw a guy with one in a civic and he was wunning a B16 head talk about wild. He said something like the mounting points where almost the same as the Bseries motors and that they blocks are pretty much the same. I would not have believed it but it was in a 92 Hatchback

a k24/k20 hybrid would be cool. use the k24 bottom end for the low end torque they produce and combine it with the k20 head for all the higher rpm power. they did a write up on it in honda tuning a while back.

i think it would be pretty sweet. especially if you could get it to spin to 9k.

just an idea.

happy holidays everyone.
