There was a thread about the potential a K swap would have...I'm all for seeing how that would work out.

The K20 with bolt-ons + Kpro puts out more than an F20/22 with similar mods. And the cams available have been tested and proven to have great gains (no offense Rash & BC).

No doubt the Sr20 would be great...Lets Talk 4g63 for the fun of it. I saw a guy with one in a civic and he was wunning a B16 head talk about wild. He said something like the mounting points where almost the same as the Bseries motors and that they blocks are pretty much the same. I would not have believed it but it was in a 92 Hatchback
4G63 rotates the wrong direction, would never work, nice thought though!

I would be interested in a k24 swap if its reasonably priced
Again, pricing would be great, the stock f20c or f22 would easliy ebay for the cash to buy your k20a2, or k24 and k20a2 head, remember, we only need the engine, and were only selling the f20 engine also, keeping the s2000 tranny. This is sounding like a GREAT idea so far, i didnt know theres been talk about it before in mags and stuff. I missed that stuff. Looks like i need a ginni-pig to sponsor. I just looked on ebay to find i can get the k24 block, k20a2 head, spoon head gasket and k-pro for $2475, thats buying them seperate. The stock f20 will bring that much. GINNI -PIGS ANYONE??? Im ready to go with this ASAP!! Ill sponsor partial labor and aftermarket goodies, (pistons, rods, cams, stock s2000 cold air intake would still work) ill pay for all fabrications(mounts, trans adaptor, misc. little stuff), we should get 240-260hp out of this no problem! More torque than f22!

Why would anyone swap the F series engine out for an inferior KA motor? You already have 240hp stock and you want to drop to 200hp and throw a bunch of money and time into it to bring it back up to stock power? Plus, you're losing a 9k (or 8k). I think you should just drop the compression, boost it and be done sitting on 400rwhp. To each their own though...

Did you know the K20A2 revs to 9k safely with k-pro, my buddies 04 RSX Type s has K-Pro ,comptech icebox, comptech headers and exaust, and smoked my s2000 numerous times, we ran from a dig, and a roll, he kept pulling every time, i just had a V2 intake and invidia exaust-test pipe, i didnt have a chance against him, we even swaped, me in his car, him in mine, got the same result! And his car is 500lbs or so heavier. So to answer your question, THATS WHY! HP is nothing without torque! You must not know the k20 very well, it revs 8k out of the factory. And im sorry, throw a bunch of money??? Have you read all of this thread??? But thanks for your opinion, we all want to see the ups and downs of this swap.

I understand you wanting to do something different, but the F20 has the same displacement as the K20. Take a great engine like the F20 and put in different cams if you want more torque on the low end, don't swap in a new engine. You could easily build this engine, which flows better, to put out high hp numbers for less. No arguements here, I just don't see your reasoning. Either way, good luck
