Stock or Modified?
I've been wondering the same thing. I'm wondering in 25 years, which will be more eye catching/sought after/worth more, a stock or modified S? I guess it's like any other auto where an all original is usually worth more.
oem all the way, in my opinion if its not J's, Mugen, Spoon, Amuse dont mod it.
but people like to mod so more power to them.
im a firm believer of leave what the engineers created alone.
but im a pretty simple guy and am not trying to make fun of people who mod.

It depends on the mods I guess.
i've modified every car i've owned in the past. all those cars needed much of an improvement in driving feel and power delivery.
i've owned my s for 10 months and haven't modified it yet. honda built a great car right out of the factory. cheaper speed modifications just make the car louder(i/h/e) and draw much more attention from the law. shorter gears put more wear on the engine by having to be at higher rpms than w/ stock gears.
imo the car needs nothing except maybe wider tires. imo there's no need to throw thousands of dollars of modifications into c car if i don't feel that there's anything i cannot improve upon. i havent reached the limits of the stock engine and suspension yet. maybe in the future, but not now.

I bought the car w/the intention of modifying it, I'm not dissapointed at all w/doing so but I wouldn't mind picking up another some day and leaving it stock so I could drive it alot more. Before I began modifying it I drove it all the time, now not so much, it sits in the shop all winter and on any rainy day, which in Oregon is quite a bit.
My style is clean, simple and subtle changes that can be noticed by a true JDM head. But also make the car look as clean as possible and remember this car isn't designed to run 11's, so cruise is like a gangsta it still turns heads either way.
When I bought my s2000 I had intentions of doing very little or putting a turbo kit on it. I put lowering springs on it and Richmond 4.56 gears and I was perfectly happy with it for a long time. This summer I replaced my clutch with a stage 4 comp clutch and bought an AEM EMS 1052U. A few weeks ago I ordered a Peakboost turbo kit with a gt35r, ARP head studs, and an Inline Pro 3mm head gasket. My s2000 isn't my daily driver anymore and once I made that decision I decided to dump about 10K in it. Just make the decision that is right for you.

I prefer stock myself.
