The S has always been marginal in wet weather. I wonder how many of these crashes have been in the wet. I drive like an 80 year old lady if I get caught in the rain while driving the S. I also never have bald tires and it still feels like one wrong step on the gas is a wipeout waiting to happen.

Long story short, respect the limits of this car. If you don't you will pay the price.

For copart you can pay one of their dealers/brokers a fee and bid/buy for yourself.

CoPart is a tuffy in my opinion. All their cars go for much more than their worth, and almost always sold to scrappers, rebuilders, yards, and wholesalers.

Can't say I disagree with you.

Do you know which other salvage auctions are easily accessible by the general public?

Well. Depends state by state. Most auctions say public but still require some sort of registration. Most common policies for public bidding is registration + $500 security deposit or some sort of minimum fee/bid or limit bids/cars. I get a lot of pissed off people because they find a car they want, pay the register + membership + buyer fee than lose the car by a bid or two. And for cars like an S2000 which aren't always in their state, they paid a few hundred out of pocket for a car they won't see a lot of. Tricky thing these auctions

Can you post the VIN in the CR section so it can be amended in the VIN registry to reflect the damage? It won't always be picked up by car fax etc.

And with the picture of the yellow S...its a STRAIGHT road!
