STOP CRASHING S2000
Left turn trying to catch that green arrow light... They tend to be longer arced higher speed sweepers rather than right turns which are much tighter and lower speed. It's more likely to get slip angle like that, plus, crossing through the intersection and into the the intersecting road like that has the turn ending in an off cambered condition (since roads tend to bow like that to evacuate water to the curb), combine all of that with the likely scenario to throttle lift in that condition and you'll see a lot more right side damage due to left handers...
But if you wreck your car, then you won't have as many replacements if you want another S.
The value is going to go up regardless of the wrecks, so drive safely.
From my perspective, I need active S drivers so there's enough profit incentive for people to design/make/keep new parts just for the S.
Pictures look that almost convinced my wife to not be okay with a S purchase.

Wet roads change everything, even a agressive or ill-timed shift in a straight line will cause the back tires lose traction, then that 50-50 perfect weight distribution causes her to spin like a top as she barrels down the road.
I'm going to throw my 2 cents in on this thread I most likely have more experience time taking apart S2000 then anyone on this site with dealing with wrecked S2000. I have bought 45 of them most of them have been parted out. Yes the S2000 is on the same track as the dinosaur is. The car is not that expensive so all the younger people are buying them because some of the movies being a 2 seater and name plate of Honda. So the younger group from the front wheel drive buy the car thinking they are getting a better Civic and then that rear wheel drive tail happy rear ends get them. Sense I have bought so many of the cars you would not believe how many has had the same thing happen to it rear wheels braking loose and coming around.
Most the cars I buy I run a Car Fax on and it has only been owned 1-2 months and they total it. It's like the rare delete white CR ( I think one of 8) that was sold a couple months ago and in 2 weeks after he sold it the car was rolled and totaled and it just sold on a auction site this week and there was not a good part on it.
Let me throw one thing else out about the S2000 most these cars when they are wrecked have very little frame damage on them. They total them out because of the body damage and the expense to repair them. The car is getting old and not worth alot the parts are getting harder to find and the car is not worth repairing.

Sure a lot of young owners are wrecking their cars these days.....but then again, a lot of S2000s are owned by younger people these days. These types of accidents are nothing new. I've been an owner since the beginning and even the most conservative drivers have been caught off-guard, and lost the rear end.

I wish it would stop hellaflush. I'd give the inventor or VSA a nobel peace prize.
