Default Storage Question

Ok, I posted a question here in regards to storing my car due to my deployment. Got some great advice, however the situation has improved. My friend has volunteered his garage for the duration of my deployment. I'm going to throw him $500 to wash my car once a month, drive it around a bit and take care of basic stuff.

Now my question is, would it be better for the car to be driven once a week or once a month? I'm still a firm believer that a car that is driven around and has its fluid and mechanical components in use is far beneficial than having it sit for >12 months.

When it's driven around, I'd try to hit 20-30 miles with each drive. Gives enough time for the car to warm up, burn off any water, and stretch its legs

Your asking for trouble...... NOBODY will treat your car the way you would... I don't care how good of a friend he is.

Once a month is all it needs. Hope it works out for you.

HAHA. Stop scaring the poor guy. He is already going to go to a different country to back us up.

Lucky you found a garage of a friend. One of my friends went TDY for like 3 months somewhere and left her RX8 with my friend. Luckily for her he couldn't drive stick. And, luckily for her, he didn't let me borrow the keys. I would have had some fun w/ it.

What branch?
