Straight pipe/cat bypass question
I've been doing some reseach on this site about a cat/straight pipe bypass but I only have found post like this:
Anybody knows if there is such a product available for the s2k? Thank you.
Actually, what I'd really want is a bypass pipe.
So, you run through the cat on the street, you flip a switch, a valve moves, you get straight pipe for the race track.
It's becoming somewhat popular in Japan right now.
Don't know if there's room under the floorpan to do this on the S.
It's a bit of an out-there project.

Sounds like to me is what they call a E-cutout. Its a pipe that you add after the header that splits. When the butterfly is closed the exhaust flows through the normal piping but when you hit the switch the butterfly opens and and the exhaust exits right there. It will be very loud though because it is exiting right after the header. Im not sure if this is what your talking about but thats the only thing I can think of.
